Sterling Mining Now Listed on OTC Bulletin Board

 WALLACE, IDAHO - August 14, 2006 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Sterling Mining Company (OTC: SRLM, FSE: SMX) is pleased to announce that quotations for its common stock now appear on the OTC Bulletin Board operated by the National Association of Securities Dealers. Quotations for Sterling Mining Co. common stock appear on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol "SRLM", which was the same symbol for its common stock on the NQB "Pink Sheets". Sterling Mining registered its common stock under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 in February 2006, and recently completed the regulatory review process related to that registration.
